Just a note...

On Monday, GF's strength went up.
Since then, he's been on a constant care plan of delivering packages (++STR, ++END), competing against others once a day, and going for either a long walk or a medium walk once a day.  He's also been getting 0-2 vomp carrots (typically 1 vomp carrot) every day, and 1-2 azoph greens (typically 1 azoph green) every day.  In that time, his strength went up again on Saturday (a period of 5 days), but his endurance remains the same.

Now... squeenix did make it easier for stats to raise, so they say.  Vomp carrots are also said to raise strength, although I assume their effects are minor and only add up over time (certainly 5 days wouldn't have done much).  Competing against others is said to be good for their physical development, tho at this point in time he's more likely to loose than win.  This is only said as flavour text by the chocobo raiser, not the chocoguy himself who just says it cultivates its ambitious spirit and alleviates boredom.

What does this all mean?  Well, stat gain might be random.  I may have gotten lucky on the dice roll for strength, and unlucky on the dice roll for endurance.  Perhaps every boost you give to a stat increases the chance on the dice roll that it'll go up, and when it does the die roll resets back to zero.  Another theory is that the vomp carrots now have MORE power than they did before, by like a LOT.  Also, competeing against others might have a chance to give a random boost to a stat, either strength or endurance, and i got lucky and got a bunch of boosts to strength.  Or maybe it affects ONLY strength, and just the new rules regarding stat increase have made it more effective in that capacity.

It also means i kinda wish i kept a record of every single thing i did with my chocobo and every food i fed him.  Cause if its random, i'd like to narrow it down.  And i will forever hate squeenix explaining stuff through flavour text, and not telling you what shit actually does.

-------------
Also... at 64 days, I got this message... "GalaxyFeather's growth seems to have stabilized.  The animal looks really distinguised now!"  I'm guessing that means its appearance will no longer change or something... which doesnt really affect me, cause they implemented that after he had already gone through most of his str and end increases.

So, my choco has been A Bit Deficient in both speed and endurance for about 30-40 days now and I'm beginning to wonder...wtf is going on?  Is there a cap on how much I can level stats on my first choco? Am I just babying her by letting her listen to music every now and then?  Do I NEED to feed her Vomp carrots to break through? Do I need to switch between the different options of physical care scheduling? Or is this just like crafting and she only gets 0.1 every now and then and the last 0.1 is really hard to get?

Suggestions?

I rode a bit deficient for quite a while... my endurance never even passed it, until i reached the point where stuff couldn't go up.  I think strength shot up rather quickly after i passed it though, so maybe it is kinda like a breaking point.

Listening to music does lower str and end tho, so I wouldn't use it.
