In recent weeks we've been seeing a lot of great new members to NB, and some returning old members. We're at all all-time high for active members at once, and I want people to get to know each other before we invite more people. I don't want half the LS to be strangers to the other half, thats not what NB is about.
New members should not be offended, because I'm doing this for them. Neobahumut was build with a small group of people, and has stayed small for the majority of its years. In time we did grow, but managed to keep a 'family' atmosphere which I am trying to reenforce, so that the new members get to see the real Neobahumut.
If you wish to make an exception, please run it by myself or Tenka first. If you think this is BS, then kick my ass when you see me online.

Lol I like that idea Omni, though I think i've met most of the new members alrdy, I would like to know them more, Hitomi (deciple's future wife) and Strift (sp?) Hitomi's RL husband (very complicated relationships in my opinion lol) are the latest members invited so far. Im liking the new members tho, they are adding alot of ethusaism into our ls I think but i agree that it's the right time to tmeporarily stop recruiting. |

i think the closing of the LS is a good idea, like you said we are all family and it's very important we keep that feel... i've been told in our times of mass recruiting that there is a "clique" feel from some ppl... but to those that know what's going on it's just the long term players being family, and taking that relationship for advantage b/c we've had it so long... so yeah good idea to get ppl involved again... and get our lowbies caught up

Roshi gets it. The fact that he is the most uber person ever aside, I love this linkshell more than anything, that’s never changed. Forgive my intrusion, but I still conceder myself an authority here. On a related note, haven't I usually been the conservative one regarding new members anyway? Back on topic I support this move. There are a lot of great new faces in the linkshell, but it has lost the "family" feel just because nobody really knows anyone else that well yet. Off the top of my head I would estimate that closing the linkshell for about a month should help a great deal. After that month I think we should slow down on the new members permanently. I love the people that I've seen so far, but the linkshell will soon become too large and impersonal at this rate. I have a lot more time appearing now so I will be logging more and keeping up to date more with the current events. I have logged a few times and was pleased by what I saw. I would like to see it return to its original close knit family feel. A note to the members that are reading this: Tell new members about the web site! The site has proven to be an integral part of the shell (You Rock, Core!). It is important for them to see the forums and gain an understanding of our personalities outside of the game (which is to say, consumed by thoughts of the game). |

Pierce was originally put in charge with the intention of brining new members to the LS while I moved onto a HNM. Things havn't gone as planned since then. I mentioned Tenka because people see her as second in charge anyway. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have said anything
