Hi,

I would like some feedbacks on the CoP static. Although I think it's going slower than most of people wanted...I'm trying my best to accomodate it into my and other ppl's schedule.

Anyhow, I don't want to just run it the way I think it should...because so far I've seen more frustration than anything lol...frustration over failed missions, or for being left behind, for waiting for others..etc...so I dunno how much you guys are liking it...or not liking it at all and is just being there to show support or whatever...

So i need some honest opinions, and if it's bringing frustration to the ls I will propose to stop the whole static thing....I started it to bring everyone together and hv fun and not to make ppl unhappy, I don't want ppl to showup unwillingly and be there simply to support me...afterall I dont need these missions. So lemme know how u feel and any changes u wanna see...

I think the idea and principle itself is great, as I cannot think of anyone besides Jit who despises CoP in general.

People have different playing speeds, so it is understandable for some to say that the schedule fits them fine and, conversely, for some to think that it is moving too slow.

What I think is that we need to actually take this idea and divide it somehow into different subsections to accommodate everyone that wants to get involved, maybe some better way to organize who is where. Perhaps we could add another category under "Events" called "CoP" and list/sticky each of the missions based on the chapter (2.3, 3.5, 5.1, ect...numbered names would also dissipate any possibilities of unwanted foreshadowing). People could post what jobs they have for it, talk with others that are actually on the mission, and on and complete the mission at a time that is best for them as a small group. When said group or set of people has completed the mission, they could simply go back and erase all their comments so those just getting to those missions could easily discern from those who still need it to those who have just recently done it. If there was a way to completely delete a post of yours entirely, that would be the best option. There could also be a stickied list of people willing to go back on missions to help others.

This is just a spur of the moment idea, however I do personally like the fundamentals behind it.

Yes, it would take the whole "the entire linkshell gets together as an event" principle but, for the essence of efficiency, this might be a better way to get through the CoP storyline.

Or you could just make static groups...I dunno.

GJ with all your work thus far though Tenka (b'-')b

Thx for replying suka..I like that idea...
but also few difficulties...

First of all...the biggest problem is ppl's schedule and attendances are too unpredictable...ppl dunno if they would show up...even they say they would and suddenly there would be ppl showing up on the day of event that was planned
I usually hv an idea of who would show up..ppl /tell me and I would have a pt or 2 in mind setup alrdy that is suitable for the fight...but there are always ppl who don't show up in the last minute...and there are ppl who would show up in the last minute...
Thankful to you guys who've completed them...I was able to balance out pts with ppl who've done it alrdy...

secondly...alot of ppl in the CoP static don't come visit the website..in fact..only a very few does...

I think now I managed to put everyone in the same mission...only a few are left behind...so I'm liking the idea of putting set ppl in a pt...I'll probably do it from Ouryu onwards...I have a pretty good idea of who's at which mission and who can bring what job so that can save the hassle of signing up.

Thx suka for the idea.

It works just fine with my schedule. I'm not an aggressive player by far, and I think if I was required to spend more time playing than I would normally devote.. it would begin to feel more like a job than a game. I tend to forgo logging on for a lot of things. Taking one night out of the week to finish a mission is a-okay to me.

I like the larger groups, because I know that if I don't show up, someone else will be there to fill my spot.

So, from my standpoint.. it's great! Cheesy

Wasnt going to say anything but since I was mentioned by name...

Tenka, what you're doing is a great thing. Given the complexities of the missions, you're doing great. If you're wanting some help organizing things, I'm more then willing to help.

And incase anyone was wondering, it's not so much that I despise CoP as a whole, it's just certain things about it. These certain things make it to where I am unable to be an effective member of a party on my main job (drk). Hence I am dead weight, and do not want to be dragging others down. In the end, CoP is not high on my priority list, so I'll just wait for SE to scale down the difficulty; Which I am sure they will because there was a point when the Shadow Lord mission was a lvl 50 capped fight (when the lvl cap was 60 i think).

-.- Jit i'm gonna slap you if that's y u stopped doin CoP!
drk is useful....i mean all jobs are...
all of the CoP missions require some sorta dd...
drk is surely one of them..

and drk stun helps in many ways...(diabolos >.>...although i always say it works without..it definitely will be easier with drk..)

if whenever u wanna try again lemme know..i'll help for sure..

They are going slower than I expected, but that is not a problem.

I am not online a lot, but with enough notice, I can make any session (well, most sessions).

I applaud you thus far, you have done wonderfully!

my only problem has been the timeslot.  6:30 PST is too early for me to get on.  That's one the downsides to a game like this where a lot of people live on the east coast and others are on the west coast.  A 3 hour time difference for a mission/quest/etc. that takes anywhere from 1 - 4 - 10 hours just isn't good.

I had to miss Ooryu last night because I wasn't able to log on for personal reasons that I won't get into.  However, having 2 groups, or maybe moving these to a night that is more conducive to people being on later might be a good idea.  The best nights, for people that work, are usually Friday and Saturday because we can stay up late before having to get back to the 8-5 M-F type crap.

And, while I am definately guilty of this, we need to make sure that whatever night we're going to do these fights on, we have it scheduled well in advance.  If I know that every Friday at 8:00 PM we're doing a run, I can typically be there.  However, if it's Monday at 6:00 this week, Wednesday at 6:30 that week, Friday at 2:00 the next week, that doesn't really work out well.

That's probably my only complaint about it.  Just working around the time, over anything.

i've stumbled onto a good thing for this mission. RDM/NIN kiters. much more affordable and still just as effective, if not more so. i've done it successfully twice with this set up, and feel up to the challenge of another one. So as soon as you guys feel up to the challenge again, count me in mofukka's!!

74 (soon to be 75) RNG with CoP completely done at the LS' service. Whenever you need me I'm there. Jit as for the DRK thing, there is maybe 1 or 2 missions when DRKs are really dead weight, but with the proper supporting cast you can still get through them. On all the others DRK is either decent or awesome. I lvled RNG actually so I could be better equipped with different missions etc. and if you choose to lvl another job that's up to you, just know that it's not necessary (sp?). As for you Vill, I'll be more than willing to help on Ouryou if you still need my help come March. I'm down to help the LS as a whole in getting closer to completing CoP. But just to warn you guys... CoP will drain your EXP and gil, but you won't really care because the story is sooo awesome!

Hm i'm always aware of this problem..unfortunately friday and saturdays are the nights that I cannot make it...at least I cannot make it static enough to be sure i'm on everyweek...

I've been wanting to keep it weds night and not change it...but these few weeks my schedule have been really busy...work has piled up and I never seem to be able to finish em...so i had to work around my schedule bit...I was goin to cancel certain days to avoid confusion about time...but most of us alrdy think it's goin too slow..so i didn't want to..

but i'm well aware that weds night isn't the best convenient time...i always hoped that we could finish in 2 hr or so...but that has never happened yet...

Aw...lol Weds and Sun work best for me..

It can also be Thurs but I'm sure to be late sometimes cos I hv volleyball games on some Thurs depending if my team is playing or not...If i do hv game I wont be back til around 9ish 10..
which is around same time as now anyways...due to the lateness of the event I always hoped that we can gather before the time (like...gather at 9...) and at the time of the event we leave right away..but I have yet to see that happen LOL

ok since you guys been so nice to give feedbacks...I'm only to set a FIXED time that are convenient to u guys.

(i have night classes monday tues and Tues i hv dynamis..Friday and Sat I can't make it static...) that leaves us weds thurs and sunday...

It appears that Thurs night is our best bet?
I'm gonna set 10pm as our LEAVING time...does that sound good?

If I'm the only one that can't make it on those days then go without me. No need to hold the group back for one person.

I have 3 feathers farmed so far.  Yes, a paltry sum, but a large amount for a WHM!  I will give them to some melee on the night of the run.  I hope to get more before then.

Yes, I did not farm alone...Lance farmed with me.  Wink

Whatever day is chosen, put it in the LSMES so everyone has no choice but to read it.
