Last time, we were very melee heavy. Could we have won? Yes, very easily. I looked at the strategy we used last time and I came up with something.
Gear needed:
Everyone: lvl 40 or below gear. Reraise 1 item ( I cannot remember what it is, but I believe it's a lvl 30 item). Vile Elixer (possible just a Elixer will do). Appropriate food.
Kite: LOTS of potions, the kind you want is up to how much you want to spend.
Tank: Lots of potions, 2 yellow liquids.
Melees: 2 yellow liquids, several potions.
Strategy:
-Go in and buff up. Everyone use a Reraise item, Whms use the items too to cut down on resting time.
-Kiters and Tank go retrieve their mammat (same set up as last time). Kiters begin kiting (Bind works). Tank pulls his/her's mammat into the tunnel, about half way in.
-Tank party takes Mammat 1 to 50% HP. Decision about trying to finish fight or to give up is made.
- If the decision to finish fight is made, the DD with the strongest 2 hour* uses it. Use other DD's 2 hour if need be. Mammat 1 dies
-Kiters brings their mammats to the party (camped half way in the tunnel). Mammats kills party. Mammats return to their original positions
-Party raises up, outside aggro range of mammats. Wait for weakness to wear, and buff up. Reraise items used again.
-1 Kiter and Tank get a mammat. Tank repeats his/her steps about bringing Mammat 2 to halfway through the cave. DD's use any 2 hours left. If none, just focus on killing the mammat. Mammat 2 dies.
-Party uses Elixers to get to full hp/mp.
-Kiter bring Mammat 3 to party (or vice versa). Party gang bangs the fucker till dead.
-Stupid ass mission won, peasents rejoice.
*Jobs with really strong 2 hours: RNGS, MNK, SMN, SAM Jobs with okay 2 hours (might condiser using on Mammat 2): War, DRK (when using souleater) BLM would be a good Mammat 1 two hour since they'll be drained of mp. NIN 2 hour might be good if near full HP and Mammat 1 is near dead: assue 2 hour damage will kill mob. DRG, I have no idea how their new 2 hour works.
Only problem I forsee with this is: Mammat 2 and 3 come after the newly raised party after wipping. Based on past BCNMs, they should stay their ground. Also, a time factor. Broken Dreams once wipped on a BCNM60 run (nin 2 hour on fireday sucks!). We got tractored to safety and raised up (thank god Omni had RR on). A normal 15 min BCNM then took about 25 mins. Hence, I have some time concerns with this strategy. It will also be a one shot deal. If the party wipes, probably wont be able to give it a second try.

I'm game. All I have gear for is MNK. But I can go MNK/WAR, /THF, or /NIN. Already got 3 Yellow Liquids in the Mog House. I'll pick up some hi-pots and a RR earring before Friday night.

it should work if the first mammet dies quick enough
in fact this strategy is used in most of the latter COP fights (Tracker, or even Moblin in chapter 5) I didn't suggest it cos I never had to before but by all means it should work
but yes time factor is an issues..the other CoP fights that use this strategy doesn't take as long to kill or they actually kill u really fast...lol...so time wouldn't be a concern, but still i think it should work, usually it only takse 15 mins to kill...

yeah... the whole dying things seems kind of... out dated. granted it does seem like it will work. if we had enough nin's to do this it would be very simple. i can solo one fairly easily.

we'll see what jobs we hv tomorrow to decide on which strategy if krash can help, him and i can do the kiting then it'll be easy
take my mob first after 1st mob died...then i can join the main group to help healing krash can solo his like forever...

I am past this part but if you need the help iam available with likr 20min notice.
MNK and RDM are 40+ SMN is 36. SMN could be higher if i get to xp it. an hour of XP would get me 38 probably.

I apologize for delaying everyone last night for the CoP mission. I am not too familiar with game quests and missions. Apparently I did not finish "Distant Beliefs" and have to run through it again. Sorry for the last minute bail. I heard one party did not succeed. I'll tag along to complete it with those players after I figure out what is not completed on my part.
Again, I apologize to keep you all waiting. Good luck on further missions.

It's okay Tanat. Yeah, the party I was in lost on our second go (last run of the night). You can take my spot because I'm not bothering with the CoP missions for a VERY long time. I dont mind doing something challenging, but I dont like doing things that are 90% luck based. Power to the player.
