Hm...11 ppl in the ls spent around 6 hr on mammets tonight with no success Sad
tho i think we did pretty good at the end we all grasped the hang of it...just lacking our 2 hr ability

the next one will be far from now due to a trip i'm goin to from 27th to 31st ^^
it's scheduled to be the saturday, Jan 6th of 2006!

Feel free to try again before that of course...

Few problems we had:

1. most of us weren't prepared enough hehe...not enough potions...juices...etc...

2. nin tank works very much better...i'm only saying cos of all the success runs i've been to...it was all nin tanks and i was the healer, it really helped with mana cos we have no refresh at that lvl...however, i think our tanks did a very great job and we are still fine without nin tanks

3. I've only been in the kiting and healing position in these fights...so i cannot comment on the meleeing part...
but healer needs alot of mana, especially cos we lack nin tanks, lots and lots of juice and ethers even, and as to kiting, every job kites it very differntly but nin, smns, bsts, thfs, rdm/nin all work very well..

4. it's important to notify in pt chat of what's happening,  either if ur kiting and u died, or ur in the main pt and the mob is at 20% etc., and spam blmblmblm when ur mob is blm so someone can silence it, i think u guys would agree that those are the killers

but now we are more experienced and in our last tries i think everyone would agree we got really close and if only we had 2hr!

so next try we'll all get it done Smiley

feel free to add ur tips and opinions of what went wrong

3 nin, 3 healer set up. I've done this fight once, and that's the setup we used to win!
I'm a 40 nin, so if you guys do it again and I'm on at the time, I'll be more than happy to help you guys out.

Few things I noticed:

BLM's AoEs didnt hurt that bad really. It used the -aga 1 spells. The highest damage was only about 200ish.

The thing has some nasty abilities though. a 200~300 damage AoE and a 400ish damage single hit.  Anyother AoE give the weight effect.

I'm going to try drk/nin next time to cut down on damage intake and get better SE/2 hour results.

2 things I noticed while fighting that could be improved upon.....

The first pulls coulda be a little better. I think having the tank and kiters go out at once and pull together would be better. Would help cut down excessive damage from one of the 3 ppl.

Also, when the prick uses that Transwhatever skill, and someone calls it, TURN AROUND. In one fight the mob was pratically healed to full because ppl weren't turning around.

>.> the problem is the ls lacks nin...i actually think ur the only one hehe
we even lacked mages yesterday..
eruan and podo who are the usual mages in our CoP got left behind cos they missed Aquaducts :/

but then i think we actually managed to pull thru with what we had..just that we lost our 2 hr alrdy at the end and half of the potions we had by the time ppl had experience with em. So with practices i think most setup should work, just that nin would make it easier.

Nin tanks work better at sucking. They work great if little details like holding hate and surviving multiple hits don't matter much.

and fighting the mammets is exactly like that. don't have to worry much about multiple hits, and holding hate from one healer isn't hard at all. i don't think sukasa stole hate from me once on my mammet. but i could be wrong...
but I'll agree with you wholeheartedly pierce, pld is a much better tank then nin. but in some occasions, nin's longevity to survive one on one fights comes in handy.

I didn't >->p it was the *other* ninja/healer groups that had trouble =P I think it was because they all didn't have enough liquid...between the two of us we had what, 6? O.o

Is this the event after the Minotaur fight? I'm not too familiar with these quests/missions. I hope I didn't miss anything important after that fight.
