What are the mysterious "mannequins" that adventurers have begun placing in their Mog Houses? Learn more about these new furnishings, as well as new notorious monster battles, garrison region expansions, and more in the latest Developers' Room announcements! You can get the facts by selecting the "May-June Announcements" in the Developers' Room, accessible from the FINAL FANTASY XI top page on PlayOnline.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are currently putting final touches on this month's version update, as well as preparing for the autumn release of "Chains of Promathia." The update should be available for download within the next two weeks.

Due to its size, the Windows version update will be divided into two separate downloads, with the second being on the same day of the single Playstation 2 update.

As for "Chains of Promathia," the upcoming expansion pack will include a plethora of new features that are too large to include in one version update. These features include: over 40 new areas, hundreds of new monsters, new sounds effects, and background music, as well as new quests and missions.

Changes in item, character, and system data will be added through version updates available later this autumn. This will allow those players who do not purchase the expansion pack to experience some of what "Chains of Promathia" has to offer.

We plan on regularly updating our official website with the latest breaking news on all features of Final Fantasy XI, so keep your eyes open!

Some of the highlights of the upcoming update are as follows:
  • Many adjustments will be made to the Conflict event known as Ballista.
In addition to these changes, new search and targeting features will be added
  • The number of regions where garrison (outpost) battles can be fought will be increased.
  • Various new quests will be added.
  • Several new orb battles will be added. This update will include alliance-type battles as well as an increase in the types of battles one can experience with each orb.
  • A temporary new system for the distribution of experience earned beyond level 75 will be introduced.
Players can utilize this system to raise various attributes.
  • The location of certain monsters in select area will be adjusted.
  • A variety of new items, weapons, and armor will be released.
  • A mannequin used to display equipment inside one's mog house will become available.
  • It will now become possible to stack 99 fireworks instead of the current limitation of 12.
Accordingly, players will be temporarily unable to put items up on auction for a short period of time starting at 2:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2004 (PDT). Details on this partial closure of the auction house will be announced in the coming days.
In addition to the changes mentioned above, there are several others that will be posted at the time of the update.

Best Regards,
The FINAL FANTASY XI Team

I hope they have some new gobbie bag and moghouse expansion possibilities :\   the mannequin idea sounds sweet if it can hold like a full set of AF or some shit.. stuff that i'd wanna put away but still have available to use.  i hate how storage works right now, cuz 99.9% of the stuff i ever put in my mogsafe is stuff i need to be able to access from other rent-a-rooms... if we could access storage from anywhere i'd have like 300 slots Smiley

i dont know bout the whole room looking nice thing ... keep in mind nobody other than u sees ur moghouse, and who's really willing to waste cash for that?  my noble's bed looks pimp, and i wanted to keep it around, but i kinda thought about it a bit and decided it was a waste of space & cash.  maybe i'll keep it for the moghancement, but as far as looks go, its wasted on me in the end.

I dont care for actual room looking nice, but your armor hanging there for display to yourself when you go in would just look sweet to me. I wish you could invite people to mog house or such.

But you've already been there. Ever wonder why the sheets on the beds are so stiff and immobile quishka ?

Actually invites to mog houses would be useful for mini-LS get togethers and such. Side note, why do you call everyone a fag anyways? Drained from that damned ram Shocked

haha, i could only imagine 10-20 people from our linkshell crowded into a moghouse (especially one with any furniture in it that you'd be trying to show off)

Exactly Wink

Hell some of them are kind of big, and can assuming that always rent out a 'floor' instead of a simple room.

Now, get into the corner so the next group can come in.

I've found out what the manniqines are going to be used for.

When you are leveling several jobs: (Whm, sam, Drg, Thf, or Even Mining) You can use the manniquins to have pre-set armor sets, so that you dont have to play games with your mog trying to get all the armor you're supposed to have, only to get to the boyhada tree, and see that you are wearing Friars Rope instead of Life Belt Tongue
