While the site was down, I started an IRC channel, which is basically a linkshell chat, but outside of the game. For those that know a thing about IRC, we are on the GameSurge network (
www.gamesurge.net) and the channel is #neobahumut.
To Join:
Start by downloading mIRC from
www.mirc.com. It says it's a 30-day trial, but nothing happens after 30 days
You can keep using it normally.

mIRC may or may not have the GameSurge network in it's database. When you first start mIRC, the Connect options dialog box should pop-up. On the right you'll see a drop down for "IRC Network" Search for GameSurge. If you can't find it, read on to the next paragraph, if you do find it, skip the next paragraph.
So your reading this if you couldn't find GameSurge in the IRC Network list. I don't know how to add it at the moment, but you can still connect. Close the options dialog. You can type
/server irc.us.gamesurge.net or anything on this page:
http://www.gamesurge.net/servers/. The ones in the list are specific servers, there are also round robins (irc.gamesurge.net, irc.us.gamesurge.net, or irc.eu.gamesurge.net).
Make sure you have a Nickname and Alterntive in the options dialog (alt+o to open it back up if you closed it)
Click connect or enter in the /server whatever and you will attempt to connect to one of the servers. It'll do a buncha nonsense stuff and blip and bloop at you, then it'll stop and you're connected!
All you have to do is type /join #neobahumut and you're in!
If you wish to have the equivallant to a pearlsack in the channel (have an @ before your name) register with AuthServ (
http://www.gamesurge.net/newuser/). Only those that deserve a "pearlsack" (called ops in IRC), will get it.
You do not have to register, but you can acutally do things if you do.
