I personally have only attempted a Prom once, and that was at Dem. So the details on how they work I'm a little foggy on. So if someone could post a guide or stratagy, that would be good.

Promvyion - Mea: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 23<SUP>RD</SUP> 10PM EST [7PM PST]
Promvyion - Holla: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 26<SUP>TH</SUP>  8PM EST [5PM PST]
*All Dates subject to change based on player availability


Suggested Jobs: (correct me if I am wrong)
Most melee with sub Ninja
WHM (Pref with SMN sub)
SMN
RNG
BLM
NIN
BRD
RDM

Items to bring:
Mages MUST have Ethers!
Melee bring atk or acc+ items
Melee bring reraisers?
Potions are a plus

Remember this is a level 30 cap! Please make sure you have sufficiant armor!

If you cannot go on the dates above PLEASE POST that, and suggest alternate dates.

Trying to get Villain as WHM 30 as quick as I can.. but don't think I can sub SMN for it in that short of a time.  I can take Cel with SMN (carbuncle only, so no avatars ; ; ) subbed, though.  Otherwise, you want BLM/WHM?  Cause, that I can do.

Also, talked with Hadoken, we're down for going with, so count at least 3 - 4 of us in.. probably more though.

Only problem is that I won't be home until around 6:00 so may not get on in time to join at 6:00 PST.  Any chance we can do it a little later on the weekdays?

Hey im up for promyvion i did it once as my DRK at lvl 30 and we got to the last floor.. and never found the right ball to kill and never got to boss    but i think we would be able to do it if we all know what to do and do it rigth    well.. i can come as RDM/BLM or NIN/WAR (If i get to 30 by these dates)  or THF/NIN or DRK/THF lol but im sure you would want RDM or NIN so just tell me and im up for either one

I have tryed Holla a few times with no success   but i do know you will wanna bring poison potion (AoE sleep) and some Holy Water (Likes to curse   )
and potions never hurt either

proms are easy, general strategy is to build up 3 parties that are each balanced (healers, tank, and damage dealers), and then alliance them up... you move through the promyvion areas, killing memory receptacles (big glowing ball things) to open teleporters to move up levels until you get to top, where you zone into a BC.  Note that the general strat for this is to avoid aggro the whole way, which is easy enough, and only kill what you have to.  Here its party-only, so you split off into your 3 groups (hence them each being balanced) and you go in and fight a mob.  The mobs aren't all that hard, sometimes its easier to kite them though, and they usually have some special move that they use when they get low on hp, although on mea and dem which i've done we killed em so fast they didnt have a chance to use anything.

General jobs taken are rng (high dmg output), smn (healing ability and 2 hour heavy dmg), and then tanks/healers.  So if any of you have rng levelled to 30, thats what you want to bring (plus rng have easier time taking out receptacles from a distance, you'll understand when you start fighting em).  Oh, and rng help find the ways through the prom areas using widescan, makes things a lot easier that way.

I don't remember exactly what potions and such you'd need for each prom, but each areas' boss does different moves, so yeah some u need holy water, some u need poison pots, etc.  If anyone needs some, i can make em easy, just send me a tell.  I'll try and get exact info on what you need for each prom and i'll post it.

Oh, and i suggest you try and plan multiple proms in one evening, they take bout 1-2 hours depending on how smooth things go, so they're not THAT long, and the real pain is usually putting together the group and gettin everyone ready.  So if you spend 2 hours preppin and 1 hour fighting, u might as well just spend another hour fighting and get 2 proms done in 4 hours instead of 1 in 3 hours.

I changed the dates of the second 2 promvyions, to hopfully work better with holidays and work scheduals. If any of the above dates are a problem please let me know.

Basically, I'm free all day on those days, so I can do multiple runs if we need to.

I heard these missions can be a bitch, so it'd be nice to do it with people we know.

Also, add Kerbouchard to the list that wants to go.  He's MNK/WAR, and I just gave him the link to this thread.  I'm pretty sure that we have others in Hadoken that want to go, just haven't heard from too many of them.

Only job I can bring is WHM... it's the only one I have over 30 to go.  I don't think a gimpled Elvaan BLM @ 25 would be the best option.  I figured I would go WHM/SMN for max MP, as well, but that means no BLM nuking from me, and prolly no smn's coming out (only have carby anyways on this toon).

But, as always, I'm down for the challenge.  Let's do it, and kick some ass while we're at it.

hey that was fun.... wasnt to hard to get to top... but i was kinda mad that our whm didnt use benediction against the boss cuz we could fo won if he did..... but instead every one of us died  
but i mean.... we should try Dem again after we do the other 2 cuz i wanna be able to have them all done some time. But maybe we should set up just LS teams when they fight boss so some of us finish it and some of us dont. and another thing is what with all these people signing up on the posts then not coming  everyone said "O sign me up ill go for sure"...... and no one came ><

I was told to raise our RNG for EES, and was trying to get my MP up to do that when we died

My bad, I'll to do better next time I go.  I did try to keep everyone healed, as best I could, just had an mp drain going on, it seemed like.  I was wondering why the SMN brought out Titan and just sat there.  For the first full minute of the fight, the SMN didn't do anything but sit at the bottom of the stairs.  No 2hour, no fight, nothing.....  Then, when mp was down at the 0 mark, it was Manafont, and nothing still... I didn't even see a BP get thrown into the mix to help knock the boss down.
