We all watch anime, so I figured I would start a thread to talk about it.
I'm posting this because I wanted someplace to rave about Elfen Lied. If you haven't seen it, watch it. Now. It is 13 episodes of amazingness. This replaced Cowboy Bebop as my favorite anime.

hahaha yeah elfin lied is pretty badass, one of my favorites. things i've watched lately... hmmm durarara: excelent story and plot, even though it is a LOT of setup. Clannad/clannad: after story: ball bustingly kawaii!!!!! watching it a 2nd time atm b/c i loved it so much. humor, romance, paranormal, and trajedy. happiness: somewhere between meh and ok. magic, and school day romance... had potential but just fell short. saki: ok if you are interested in real mahjong. but a lot of repeating themes and the fanservice and humor doesn't cover enough to make it good without you having an interest in mahjong. nogizaka haruka no himitsu/nogizaka haruka no himitsu: purezza: good romance, and humor. some fanservice and on the heirem side. but funny shit if you like maids and chocolate covered bananas. chu-bra: would be a great anime if it wasn't so... pedo-ero fanservice... can teach people a thing or two about underwear and that they aren't just for fanservice... just think the message would be better delivered without the fanservice... time of eve: great animation, great storyline... but short. kinda like chobits but without humor and fanservice, and it doesn't go towards full blown love. abunai sisters: watched a minisode... worst garbage ever!!!! wish i could burn it from my memory and piss on it neko rahmen: short, spastic and somewhat amusing. worth a watch since you can get thru the series in 30 minutes and get a laugh or two.

Claymore is one that a lot of people haven't heard of even though it's amazing. Enough violence to satisfy even Berserk fanatics, but with a definite tender side. Fruit Basket is a fun cutesy one. Lighthearted and easy to watch.

After watching the end of Claymore I have to comment. The whole series was amazing, but the ending felt really rushed. It was still really good, but I feel like they bumped up the pace 10x to get it over with in time. Kinda disappointing.
I take back what I said about Fruits Basket. Despite the cuteness it gets old fast.

one i forgot to mention was k-on. Great music, funny, school-girl life. haven't watched season 2, but the music is the best, which it should be since it's the "light music club"

Elfen Lied did not replace Cowboy bebop on my list O_O. I mean, I liked Elfen Lied, but it did not have as great of an emotional range in my opinion. Elfen Lied was bad ass though. It was full of death and destruction, then cute-ness, then followed up by more death and destruction.
The current anime I am watching is Soul Eater. I really like it, it's cute ^___^. It has funny characters and strange ideas O_O.

Steamboy is sweet, for those who like a steampunk themed anime. It is just a movie and not a series, though.
My favorite series would have to be the entirety of the Ghost in the Shell universe.

the ending of claymore felt rushed because its not the ending of the series, claymore only serialized some of the first volumes of the manga. the storyline continues well beyond that of the anime (imo in this particular case manga> anime).

HeroicAge was good, I just wish that they had made a movie as well as kept the series running.
