FFXIV Core (who posted the videos yesterday) got an interview with a Producer for FFXIV. Lots of things were covered, and here are the highlights: - Jumping unlikely, but swimming and climbing not ruled out
- No PVP, except in sports-like events like in FFXI.
- No PlayOnline
- Most PCs and NPCs will have voice overs!
- Instances of events based on guild
- Job system different from FFT
- No Jobs/Classes Per say
- No Pet/Summoner Class, yet. Summons important in the story
- No Zoning / Seemless world like WoW
- Weapons will have durability, will need to be repaired
- Linkshells will not be called Linkshells. New system will be something "very interesting".
They seem pretty set on some ideas already (such as no PVP) thats rather dissappointing, as well as no Pet class (No Mikan?  ) I'm really curious to see more about the job system though...
