First, NOTHING CHANGED. I don't think. Besides the software, everything seems more or less intact, no major catastrophes.
The big question is "why?".
Well, the old software we were using was a beta for Invision, which ended like.... 5 years ago. It had been hacked more than once, and had several modifications done by me (lol, already made a few mods made here) to keep it working and secure. Also, while I was doing some work for the main site, I discovered no one could register on the forums (a problem which I have fixed several times in the past). But this time it seemed really broke... spammers could register, but humans couldn't. Go figure.
What the hell is this?
This is Simple Machines Forum (too lazy to link... link is at the bottom of the page). It's one of the better free forums out there (that means updates!), is open source (cool hax!), and actually had a converter for the old software we had (yay!).
Do I have to register?
No, not if you did on the old forums.

Create a new account, post, and we'll see what we can work out. "Forgot my password" links won't work.
Can I haz a cat pix?
Yes.
What's with the gay similes and icons?
It's just the defaults. I'm more than willing to up up any iconset or theme you can find for Simple Machines Forums.
Do emails and notification things work?
No. Don't try, you'll make angry log messages (that you can't see anyway). Plus... most of those notification permissions should be denied, but if you see something like it, let me know.
Speaking of permissions... WHAT THE HELL?!
Uhhh... did I do that? I dunno, I was clicking around in permissions making sure things were the way they're supposed to be, but if something doesn't seem right, let me know. So... if you can't post... post.... errr, make a new account and post?
