I experienced a divine intervention yesterday. Apparently the one true deity is ... kind of a bitch.

Today (Since I still have my account) I figured I would install the game and start playing again. I decided I am more mature now so I can manage my time, and it wasn't a terrible idea. Some divine force apparently lacked such faith in me. During the installation one of the CD's FREAKING EXPLODED.

This is not an exaggeration. My room mate was standing right here when it happened. The disk that was in the drive during the installation literally exploded inside the drive. I have spent about 35 minutes so far cleaning little fragments of FFXI disk out of the disk drive (They just keep coming, but the tray is still jammed so there is another big one somewhere in here...).

I'm still trying to figure out if I can save the drive itself.

A new drive will only run ya 30 bucks anyway....Unless it's a laptop....
